Concrete Pads in Summertown & Southern Middle Tennessee

Every piece of equipment needs a solid, level surface underneath it. We pour concrete pads sized and reinforced for exactly what's going on top.

Concrete pads are straightforward work, but they still need to be done right. An HVAC condenser sitting on a pad that settles or tilts will develop refrigerant line stress and drainage issues. A shed on an unlevel pad will rack and the doors won't close. A generator pad that isn't properly graded will collect water around the unit. The details matter even on small pours.

We size pads based on what they're supporting. HVAC pads are typically 3 feet by 3 feet and 4 inches thick. Shed pads are sized to the building footprint with an extra 4–6 inches on each side. Hot tub pads need to account for the filled weight — a large hot tub full of water and people can exceed 5,000 pounds, so we pour thicker with reinforcement. Generator and equipment pads are sized to manufacturer specs.

Base prep on small pads is just as important as on large slabs. We excavate organic material and unstable soil, install a compacted gravel base, and form the pad to the correct dimensions and elevation. For HVAC pads, we set the top of the pad at the right height relative to the unit's refrigerant line connections. For shed pads, we verify the pad is level within tight tolerances across the entire surface.

Small pad pours are one of our most common jobs. They're quick — most are done in a morning — and they prevent expensive problems down the road. If you're having HVAC, a shed, a hot tub, a generator, or any other equipment installed, get the pad poured right and you won't have to think about it again.

Our Concrete Pads Process

Every job follows a proven process to ensure lasting results and protect your property throughout.

1

Size & Location

We confirm pad dimensions based on what it's supporting, mark the location, and check for underground utilities.

2

Excavate & Prep

We remove topsoil and unstable material, install compacted gravel, and set forms at the correct elevation and level.

3

Pour & Finish

Reinforced concrete is poured, screeded flat, and finished to a broom or trowel texture depending on the application.

4

Cure & Ready

After curing, the pad is ready for equipment installation. We coordinate timing with your HVAC or equipment installer if needed.

What Customers Say

Real reviews from homeowners and businesses across Southern Middle Tennessee.

George's crew poured a concrete pad for our HVAC unit and a short sidewalk connecting to our existing patio in Columbia. Scheduling took a couple weeks because they were busy, but once they were on site everything went smooth. Good quality work at a reasonable price.

Columbia

We had George's crew replace our old driveway in Lawrenceburg. The original was 20 years old and had heaved from tree roots. They tore out the old concrete, regraded everything, and poured a new 4-inch reinforced driveway with proper expansion joints. Looks fantastic and the price was very fair for the amount of work involved.

Lawrenceburg

George built a retaining wall along our property line in Culleoka where the yard drops off toward the creek. It's about 40 feet long and 3 feet tall. He included proper drainage behind the wall so water pressure wouldn't push it over. That was two years ago and it hasn't moved an inch despite some heavy rains.
